Katherine Austin-Evelyn
Senior Director, ChangeWorks
Katherine Austin-Evelyn is a senior director based in Arabella’s New York office, where she specializes in the firm’s ChangeWorks service area. She conducts organizational design and development, operational planning, change management, strategy, and implementation planning for a variety of philanthropic and nonprofit initiatives and vehicles. Katherine works across the spectrum of Arabella’s individual, institutional, and corporate clients, drawing upon her almost-15 years of experience supporting, building, and advising nonprofits, corporations, and foundations.
Katherine has an extensive background in program and organizational design, development, and evaluation in the realms of philanthropy, global health, and international development. Prior to joining Arabella, Katherine built a wealth of relationships and knowledge in philanthropy at the social-impact consulting firm ONE HUNDRED. Katherine has also consulted for UN Women on their research and data team and was a founding member of the evaluation team at the International Women’s Health Coalition, leading their monitoring, learning, and evaluation efforts. Earlier in her career, Katherine led the operational research portfolio at the Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute’s department of implementation science in Johannesburg, South Africa. Katherine has also gained extensive research and project management experience during her time working on strategic public health evaluations at The Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University; The People’s Health Movement in Cape Town, South Africa; The Canadian International Development Agency in Blantyre, Malawi; and the Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership in Calgary, Canada.
Katherine holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with honors from Mount Allison University, a master’s degree in gender and social policy from the London School of Economics, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Cape Town.
