Samantha Merin is a program associate on the Managed Organizations team. She provides financial, compliance, programmatic, and operational support to a diverse array of social impact projects within the New Venture Fund and the Windward Fund, both 501(c)(3) public charities managed by Arabella. Her portfolio consists of a wide range of both domestic and international projects focused on environmental advocacy, food security, education, human rights, and energy conservation.
Prior to joining Arabella, Samantha served as a legal analyst on the employment legal team at Warner Music Group. There, she prepared and negotiated domestic and international employment, separation, and independent contractor agreements for various music executives, producers, and employees. She also spearheaded Warner’s international data privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with dynamic data privacy regulations in over 30 countries. Prior to her work at Warner, Samantha served as a paralegal at CBS for the television program Inside Edition.
While obtaining her BA, Samantha interned at the National Lawyers Guild, the nation’s oldest and largest progressive bar association. Samantha is a trained legal observer and attends demonstrations to monitor public protests and mitigate potential conflict between law enforcement and demonstrators.
Samantha is currently pursuing her MPA at the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College in New York City, specializing in policy analysis and evaluation. She graduated summa cum laude from Temple University with a BA in political science.
