Claire Leopold
Senior Director
Claire Leopold is a senior director on Arabella’s Partner Solutions team. In her role, she uses her significant expertise in philanthropic vehicle operations to support her clients as they design, launch, and optimize new ways of giving. As one of the strategists guiding Arabella’s innovative work in flexible financing and Flexible Philanthropy Accounts (FPA), Claire is deeply knowledgeable about the logistics of making charitable investments, navigating fiscal sponsorship, and leveraging donor-advised funds. She works with clients to develop integrated, multi-vehicle structures that allow changemakers to use multiple forms of capital to achieve their biggest, most ambitious goals.
Claire began her career at Arabella in 2015 and quickly progressed through the ranks of the Partner Solutions team by demonstrating a unique ability to meet client needs and be a thought partner to projects. In addition to her responsibilities supporting fiscally sponsored projects across the 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations that Arabella manages, Claire also developed the policies and processes that allow the New Venture Fund to make charitable investments.
Prior to joining Arabella, Claire was an analyst for TripAdvisor, where she provided data analytics for several marketing channels across multiple points of sale. For 14 years, she also managed her own fiscally sponsored project, Mawuli Apeme. This program in Accra, Ghana, helped young adults transition out of orphanages to lead successful, productive lives.
Claire received a BA in international affairs with minors in business and social entrepreneurship from Northeastern University, and she received high honors in a certificate program at Harvard Business School focusing on the fundamentals of business. She is based in Burlington, Vermont.
