Liz Sweet Joins Arabella’s California Team

Arabella Advisors is pleased to announce that Liz Sweet has joined the firm as a senior director in our San Francisco office. Sweet brings a special focus and deep experience working with families and individuals to enhance their philanthropy and will support our clients and partners across the region, helping them use the Arabella platform to advance their social impact goals.
“I’m so excited to be working with a passionate group of people who have a complete set of tools for helping philanthropists design and implement effective solutions to complex problems,” Sweet said. “I’m especially looking forward to harnessing the power of collaboration—both across teams at Arabella and as a strategy to help donors be more impactful.”
Sweet comes to Arabella from The Philanthropy Workshop (TPW), a global network of over 400 philanthropists, where she guided members in designing strategies that best leveraged their passions, talents, and assets. Over her four years as a senior officer with TPW, Sweet helped lead the network’s flagship cohort program—a year-long course on strategic philanthropy—along with deep dives on human rights, food systems reform, criminal justice, and a range of social justice issues.
Previously, Sweet worked for the International Rescue Committee, where she coordinated a collective impact effort to improve education in emergency contexts. In this role, Sweet consulted with local stakeholders across five continents to improve educational outcomes while engaging in joint advocacy at the United Nations to increase funding for the field.
