Xanthe is an Associate Director at Arabella, specializing in research on social and economic development. Prior to joining Arabella, Xanthe founded Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa, a nonprofit based in Malawi. She received her B.A. from New York University, and her Ph.D. from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Shoshana Buchholz-Miller is a Senior Director at Arabella, and has worked across a broad range of family, corporate and institutional client engagements. She has honed her expertise in developing grant-making programs, as well as creating evaluation frameworks and assessing grant programs.

Arianna is a Senior Analyst at Arabella, where she conducts research for client projects and helps to design high-quality deliverables and thought leadership. Prior to joining Arabella, she completed the two-year Illinois Early Childhood Fellowship. She holds an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Kate is an Analyst at Arabella. She conducts in-depth research and analysis for a range of family, institutional, and individual client projects and helps to support thought leadership work. She has a B.A. in Social Work from St. Mary’s College and an M.S.W. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ginger is an Associate Director at Arabella. She provides strategy, evaluation, and implementation consulting services, and writes proposals for new client opportunities. Prior to joining Arabella, she worked at Chemonics, an international development consulting firm. She holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, an M.A. from Georgetown University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Renée is an Associate Director at Arabella and provides strategy and evaluation consulting services to a variety of clients. Prior to joining Arabella, Renée worked for the Nonprofit Finance Fund, the New American Schools Investment Fund, and the National Cooperative Bank Development Corporation. Renée holds a B.A. in History from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Development from New York University.

Helen is a Senior Analyst at Arabella Advisors. She conducts in-depth research and analysis, and helps draft reports and other communications projects. Prior to joining Arabella, she worked as a research assistant, tracking the development of modern American philanthropy. She holds dual degrees in International Studies and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University.

Conan is an Analyst at Arabella. He conducts research and analysis for a number of client projects, including a retrospective analysis of the California Community Foundation’s grant-making efforts and a project with Feeding America focusing on developing tools to help food banks assess capacity. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University.

Lauren is an Associate Director at Arabella. She provides strategy, evaluation, and project implementation assistance for the firm’s family, corporate, and institutional clients. Prior to joining Arabella, she was a Policy Analyst at the Center for Law and Social Policy. She holds a B.S. from Boston College and an M.P.P. from Georgetown University.

Whitney is a Director at Arabella. She helped to manage the Child Nutrition Initiative, and assisted in the launch of a conservation and community alliance in Oregon. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Rachel is an Associate Director at Arabella, where she assists with project management and provides support on strategy, evaluation, and implementation projects. Prior to joining Arabella, Rachel was a Senior Program Officer at the Global Philanthropy Forum, where she managed survey design, implementation, and analysis. She holds a B.A. from Wheaton College and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.

Melanie is an Associate Director at Arabella. She provides strategy and evaluation consulting services, and writes proposals for new client opportunities. Prior to joining Arabella, Melanie was a consultant at the Newman’s Own Foundation. She holds a B.S. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.

Prior to joining Arabella, she worked as the Legislative Coordinator for the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She holds a B.A. from Brandeis University.

His projects have included supporting a conservation initiative on Oregon’s southern coast and tracking campaign activities for United Against Malaria. He holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Heidi is an Associate Director, where she has worked on the firm’s engagements with Feeding America, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She holds a B.A. from the University of California – Santa Cruz, and an M.A. in Social Ecology and a Ph.D. in Health Psychology from the University of California – Irvine.

Kathryn is a Senior Analyst at Arabella. Her past projects include conducting a baseline evaluation of a research institution’s initiative for African economic growth and conducting a landscape analysis of a foundation’s emergency response portfolio. Kathryn holds a B.A. in International Development and Global Health from the University of California – Berkeley.

Ryan is a Senior Analyst at Arabella, where he conducts research and analysis in support of client projects and assists staff with thought leadership efforts. In addition, he currently teaches United States history at Purdue University Calumet. He holds a B.A. in History from Purdue University and an M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago.

He holds a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University and an M.S. in International Relations from Georgetown University, and he is currently studying to receive an International Executive M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
