Jack Chin is senior director in Arabella’s San Francisco office, joining the firm when it acquired Blueprint Research + Design, Inc. He manages program strategy development, evaluation planning, and organizational learning projects for numerous Arabella clients. His past projects include evaluation of the impacts of the Knight News Challenge media innovation contest, assessment of policy and advocacy grantmaking by the California Community Foundation, strategy development in community philanthropy for Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, design and implementation of a peer review grantmaking process for the Stewardship Council, and a comparative analysis of foundation-sponsored learning communities. He’s particularly interested in developing information sharing processes for continuous program improvement.
Jack’s volunteer work includes service on the boards of Resource Media, the Student Conservation Association, the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, and EarthShare California. His past work experience includes the Funders’ Forum on Environment and Education, the GAP Foundation, and The San Francisco Foundation, and he has B.A. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University. Jack lives in San Francisco with his partner, Hedy Chang, and their two sons, Neil and Nevin.
